Michelle Malkin: U.S. Marines vs. Haditha smear merchants
Read Michelle’s latest column which looks at how the now exonerated Marines accused in the “Haditha Massacre” were smeared by the media.
Michelle Says:
My syndicated column today recounts how the Haditha smear merchants from John Murtha to the NYSlimes to the world media hanged the Marines before a single formal charge had been filed. (And I know I don’t have to worry about the AP quoting from it, because the MSM doesn’t want you to remember its Haditha=My Lai smears.)
Dunkin Donuts Pulls Ad Featuring Rachel Ray Wearing Muslim Scarf
After pressure from conservative bloggers like Michelle Malkin, Dunkin Donuts pulled its most recent television ad. The ad featured popular TV cooking star Rachel Ray wearing a traditional Arab scarf around her neck.
The scarf known as a “Keffiyeh” is the traditional head dress of Arab men. It can be worn around the neck or head. The images most associated with the Keffiyeh are of terrorists using them to cover their face.
You often see liberal Hollywood elites wearing them around their neck to show “solidarity” with the plight of the Palestinians or as another way to protest the war.
Michelle makes a good point on this issue:
Anti-American fashion designers abroad and at home have mainstreamed and adapted the scarves as generic pro-Palestinian jihad or anti-war statements. Yet many folks out there remain completely oblivious to the apparel’s violent symbolism and anti-Israel overtones…
While some may find this whole issue trivial, but it’s symptomatic of a certain trend to try and mainstream radical ideologies. Like when people where t-shirts with Che Guevara pictured on the front, or carry a Chairman Mao bag like Cameron Diaz.

Great Ideas: Stuff Muslims Don’t Like
Michelle Malkin has a habit of coming up with pretty good ideas, but her latest idea is perhaps one of the greatest ever.
The popular blog called “Stuff White People Like” has gotten national media coverage for its humorous running tally of “stuff white people like.” Things such as New Balance tennis shoes, Toyota Priuses, and rugby just to name a few.
The site is so popular that a NY publisher gave the blog’s creator a $300,000 book advance which he used to write a book called “Stuff White People Like” which is available for pre-order this very moment on Amazon.
After witnessing the success of “Stuff White People Like”, Michelle had the bright idea to add a new feature to her site called “Stuff Muslims Don’t Like.”
Every single day the list of things that outrage Muslims grows ever larger, so why not keep a running tally?
Michelle’s first entry in SMDL is:
To kick things off, the first SMDL entry comes from Birmingham, England this week, where Muslims are outraged over billboard posters of women in bikinis–and outraged over advertising in general.
