Michelle Obama acknowledged in an interview with “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King she does not like the image some people have painted of her. She also dismissed reports of tension between her and the president’s staff, reports Norah O’Donnell.

The Obamas’ summer break on Martha’s Vineyard has already been branded a PR disaster after the couple arrived four hours apart on separate government jets.

But according to new reports, this is the least of their extravagances.

White House sources today claimed that the First Lady has spent $10million of U.S. taxpayers’ money on vacations alone in the past year.

The article goes on to describe the First Lady’s wild shopping sprees and taste for top shelf booze. President Obama is allegedly furious at Michelle’s out of control spending. I don’t know that I buy that last part. If he really is furious than he’s an even bigger hypocrite than I thought.

It is disgusting that they took separate jets to Martha’s Vineyard even though they traveled on the same day. She arrived four hours earlier than he did. Why not save a million bucks and travel together on Air Force One? That’s not exactly slumming it.

I’m not a liberal so I don’t have beef with rich people. I don’t have a beef with rich people spending money. I don’t care if rich people use diamonds in place of ice cubes in their drink — even during a recession. I don’t care because it’s their money and they should be allowed to spend it as they see fit.

Michelle Obama is not doing that. She’s spending our money. We paid for her separate jet. We pay for her top shelf booze. We pay for those God awful ugly outfits the liberal media swoon over. The First Family does pay for a lot of their day to day living in The White House. They actually get billed for the food they eat. But these multi-million dollar vacations are on the tax payer dime. $10 million in vacations in a single year is abhorrent.

Here’s a clip of Chris Rock roasting Oprah at some gathering where rich and famous people are patting each other on the back. It must be important because the top row consists of Oprah, Paul McCartney, Michelle Obama, and of course President Obama. The jokes are good though.

During a visit to Mumbai with her husband, President Barack Obama, the First Lady of the US danced and sang with disadvantaged children in India’s capital.

President Obama and the First Lady were caught in a tender embrace tonight by the ever present media. I don’t consider this newsworthy, but listen to how creepy the camera guy sounds. “Ohhhh, that’s nice.” The guy sounds like he’s directing a porno flick.

If you’re wondering where they are it’s the International Spy Museum in downtown Washington. They toured it along with their daughter Sasha.

No, I’m not a Birther and never have been. I’m only posting this because I think her choice of words is interesting. It’s comments like this that feed the nutty Birther movement.

I don’t think anyone in America is in favor of childhood obesity, nor is anyone against the First Lady throwing her weight behind a good cause. Mrs. Bush lent her stature to childhood literacy just as Michelle Obama is fighting against childhood obesity. Unfortunately, like everything else with this administration you have to pay close attention to what’s really going on versus what the public is being told. This administration tries to distract you with one thing and then slip something else through when you’re not looking.

Huge kudos goes to Michelle Malkin for blowing this story wide open. It turns out Michelle Obama’s big crusade against childhood obesity is really a crusade to grow the membership roles of her husband’s favorite labor union — the ubiquitous SEIU.

Mrs. Obama earned a State of the Union Address shout-out from her hubby for taking on the weighty public policy issue of students’ physical fitness. The East Wing is now in full campaign mode – leaning on the nation’s mayors, traveling with the Surgeon General, and meeting with Congress and cabinet members to reauthorize the Lyndon Johnson-era Child Nutrition Act, which provides government-subsidized meals to more than 30 million children. It’s part of the Obama administration’s self-proclaimed “cradle-to-career” agenda for America’s youth.

Moreover, they want to expand the program to include meals for infants, meals during the summer, and even dinner. So why might the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) be so interested in keeping and vastly expanding this government entitlement?  Do they just love kids?

The well-intended program to feed poor kids has morphed into an untouchable universal entitlement with a powerful school lunch lobbying coalition of Department of Agriculture bureaucrats, food-service industry executives, and union bosses. Enter the SEIU. Headed up by the White House’s most frequent visitor, Andy Stern, the powerful labor organization representing government and private service employees has an insatiable appetite for power and growth. Working alongside the First Lady, the SEIU unveiled a major ad campaign this week demanding reauthorizing and funding increases in the Child Nutrition Act.

What’s in it for Big Labor? SEIU Executive Vice President Mitch Ackerman explains: “A more robust expansion of school lunch, breakfast, summer feeding, child care and WIC [the federal Women, Infants, and Children nutrition program] is critical to reducing hunger, ending childhood obesity, and providing fair wages and healthcare for front line food service workers (emphasis added).” There are 400,000 workers who prepare and serve lunch to American schoolchildren. SEIU represents tens of thousands of those workers and is trying to unionize many more. “More robust expansion” of the federal school lunch law means a mandate for higher wages, increased benefits, and government-guaranteed health insurance coverage (the more luxurious the better now that SEIU has negotiated its Cadillac Tax exemption from the Democrats’ health care takeover bill).

It’s not about feeding hungry kids or tackling obesity and it never was. It’s about propping up the purple shirted thugs in the SEIU. It’s a real shame that this administration can’t do a single f*cking thing without a left-wing agenda in the shadows somewhere. Everything they do and every bill they pass is about moving their insane Progressive agenda down the field.

According to Canada Free Press, Michelle Obama has more paid assistants than any First Lady in U.S. history. The total combined salaries of her 26 assistants is $1,750,000 per year paid for by tax payers. That does not include the cost of the lavish benefits package each one also receives.

When compared to past First Ladies, Michelle Obama is so far out of the norm it’s actually stunning.

Hillary Clinton = 3 assistants

Laura Bush = 1 assistant

Jackie Kennedy = 1 assistant

Michelle Obama = 26 assistants

It sounds like Michelle is doing a hell of a lot behind the scenes that we don’t know about to need that many assistants. Congress should look into this and find out what she’s up to.

I know, I know, I’m racist for bringing this up. So be it.

This is hilarious! Matt Lauer had Michelle Malkin on to discuss her new book “Culture Of Corruption,” and she rips into the Obama administration with glee. At the end of the segment Matt looks like he’s about to cry.

Kudos to Michelle for kicking some serious ass on morning television.
