During a visit to Mumbai with her husband, President Barack Obama, the First Lady of the US danced and sang with disadvantaged children in India’s capital.

I honestly don’t know how much President Bush’s overseas trips cost taxpayers, but this seems like a pretty high price. According to Indian officials President Obama’s upcoming trip to Mumbai will cost $200 million per day. Again, I’m no expert but WOW.

Including Secret Service, staff, government officials, and journalists he’ll be traveling with around 3,000 people. Did Bush ever travel with 3,000 people? That’s an absurdly large entourage.

To be fair, much of that cost will go towards security. In light of the recent Mumbai attacks, the US Navy and Air Force are taking part in Obama’s security on this trip.

I don’t think you can or should put a price tag on our president’s safety. That said, $200 million a day seems pretty steep. How much of that is security and how much is BS?
