Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi is making ludicrous statements again! Here’s Stretch at a press conference today:

“What we’re trying to do is save the world from the Republican budget . . . We’re trying to save life on this planet as we know it today.”

Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi spoke to her adoring fan base in the media today. She said they’d have passed ObamaCare even if every single person in America had access to health coverage and was happy with it. In other words, nothing was going to stand in the way of a government takeover of health care.

It doesn’t really matter what Stretch and her cronies want, because ObamaCare is a dead man walking. I’m betting SCOTUS will rule 5-4 in our favor that the health care mandate is unconstitutional. Once that happens the rest of the program will fall apart. The entirety of ObamaCare hinges on the government’s ability to force people to get health coverage.

I don’t know for sure if that’s true, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Any hopes of bipartisanship have officially gone out the window. Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi has decided not to retire. Not even close. She plans to run for minority leader. Republicans are thrilled.

GOP figures, who had spent the better part of the 2010 campaign looking to tie Democratic incumbents to the Speaker, welcomed Pelosi’s announcement this afternoon that she would run for Democratic leader rather than resign her position and possibly resign from Congress.

"The Democrats’ gift to Speaker Boehner: Pelosi as Minority Leader," said Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.), a deputy whip, on Twitter. "I endorse Nancy Pelosi for Minority Leader."

The best response came from the NRCC:

"Given that there are now 60-plus defeated Democrat House members urgently seeking jobs due to Nancy Pelosi’s failed leadership, we welcome her decision to run for House Minority Leader based on her proven ability to create jobs for Republican lawmakers," said National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) communications director Ken Spain.

Having Stretch around to gum up the works is fine by me. Hopefully, she’ll make the few remaining Blue Dogs cast some more unpopular votes and we can get them out of office the next time. More left-wing kook Stretch Pelosi = more Conservative victories.

You can’t get much further left than Nancy Pelosi in American politics. Which is what makes this video of her being heckled by leftists so interesting. I actually caught some of this on CSPAN last night by accident at like 3 am. It was a conference for Progressives called “America’s Future Now” — by future now they of course mean hurry up and destroy the country already!

A radical leftist like Pelosi being heckled by even more radical leftists is not all that unusual.

When “Progressives” from all around the country gather in one place it tends to get pretty ugly. With Socialists, Marxists, Communists, Maoists, Trotskyites, Anarchists, and various New Left malcontents all in one room you can’t expect to get a word in edge wise.

Before the event descended into the usual sign waving, heckling, and sloganeering I did pick up on a common theme from the various left-wing speakers.

The left is scared shitless about the midterm elections. They said repeatedly that an opportunity to fundamentally change America only comes around about once every 50 years and Obama isn’t finished yet — they aren’t finished yet.

They want to see Obama put in place policies that will lead to social justice, economic justice, and environmental justice — i.e. Marxism.

There was all kinds of talk about “Wall Street fat cats” and the need to empower big labor more.

As disgusting as the entire conference was I feel good about it, because the left is losing and losing big. The majority of Americans have rejected their policies and do not want to see America turned into a European Socialist welfare state.

We’re going to throw these jerks out in the midterm elections and put the brakes on Obama’s radical agenda for good.
