Obama Media: NBC Sells “YES WE DID” Shirts

August 13, 2009 · Filed Under Media · Comment

NBC is absolutely NOT in the tank for Obama. I don’t care what the shirts say, they are completely objective.

Oh well, at least they’re finally admitting it.

Video: Even Jon Stewart Can’t Take The NBC Obama Coverage

I’ve made no secret out of the fact that I think Jon Stewart is a hack and not particularly funny. However, I must give credit where credit is due.

Stewart is thus far the only comedian with the balls to make jokes about Obama and lampoon the gruesomely fawning Obama coverage on NBC.

Here’s Stewart’s take on the cringe inducing Brian Williams “all access” Obama spectacular:

NBC Finds ‘The Lost Palin Files’

sarah palin ap NBC Finds The Lost Palin Files

NBC committed an unforgivable sin today, they wrote a kind piece about Gov. Palin. NBC recently came into possession of hundreds of letters Palin wrote to citizens while she was Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. There are even a few she wrote to various newspapers in response to stories she disagreed with.

Hundreds of notes and letters Palin’s letter to the editor is one of hundreds of personal notes and letters written by the former Mayor, and obtained this week to NBC News and others. The documents shed light on the management style–and personality–of the small town mayor turned vice presidential candidate.

It appears that she wrote letters and thank you notes to pretty much everyone in her town. She personally wrote a letter welcoming every new citizen that moved into the community and every new business. She wrote letters of congratulations to every family who had a baby, and thank you notes for a gift or even just a kind word.

The correspondence also reveals an extreme attention to detail and a political deftness that clearly served her well as mayor. Palin wrote more thank-you notes than Miss Manners. She made sure she personally welcomed every new business owner to town. And every new baby too.

One letter was simply to say thank you for returning a pen a colleague had borrowed from her during a meeting.

“Dear Mr. Brittingham, Thank you so much for returning my pen to me after the Chamber meeting today,” the mayor wrote.

Here are a few more Palin letters:

–“Dear Tracy, We heard the news! Congratulations from the City of Wasilla on the birth of your daughter,” she penned to one local resident.

–“Dear Porky, Thank you so much for the smoked salmon!” she wrote to another supporter.

–“Dear Trudy, Thank you so much for the beautiful Cyclamen plant. I appreciate you so much. God bless you,” she wrote.

–“To Allure Day Spa Staff, Thank you so much for the awesome facial that I received from Allure Day Spa a few weeks back,” she continued.

The article goes on to say of Palin:

As the city files make clear, Palin wrote endless recommendations for local students, seemed to honor every Eagle Scout in a 200-mile radius and, as might be expected, obsessed over all things snow related. There are warnings about snow blowing and snowmachine safety, earnest letters regarding avalanche awareness and proclamations honoring sled-dog racing.

Smiley-face sincerity
Her letters are informal, even homey.

Gov. Palin is someone who truly cares about the people she represents. It’s about time we had someone like that in Washington. Kudos to NBC News for not burying this story or somehow turning in to something negative.

Video: Olbermann Continues To Lie About McClellan ‘Talking Points’

July 30, 2008 · Filed Under Video · Comment

Scott McClellan acknowledged on The Radio Factor yesterday that he never fed Bill O’Reilly White House talking points and apologized for lying to Chris Matthews about it. Numerous commentators have weighed-in even on far-left NBC and acknowledged it’s unlikely that O’Reilly would take talking points from anyone.

None of this had any impact of course on MSNBC’s chief clown Keith Olbermann. According to Olbermann, O’Reilly has merely convinced himself that he received no talking points, but in reality he has. Olby’s yes-man for the segment was far-left hack and race hustler Eugene Robinson.

No matter what facts are presented to Olbermann, he simply disregards them and invents his own.

White House Call Out NBC For “Deceitful” Editing Of Bush Interview

May 19, 2008 · Filed Under Liberal Bias, Media, President Bush · Comment

For some reason President Bush decided to give an interview to a network that literally hates his guts. Not surprisingly, his interview on NBC with left-wing correspondent Richard Engel was edited in a dishonest and deceitful way.

The White House on Monday sent a scathing letter to NBC News, accusing the news network of “deceptively” editing an interview with President Bush on the issue of appeasement and Iran.

At issue were remarks Bush made in front of Israel’s parliament earlier this week.

Specifically, White House counselor Ed Gillespie laments that the network edited the interview in a way that “is clearly intended to give viewers the impression that [Bush] agreed with [correspondent Richard Engel's] characterization of his remarks when he explicitly challenged it.

“This deceitful editing to further a media-manufactured storyline is utterly misleading and irresponsible and I hereby request in the interest of fairness and accuracy that the network air the President’s responses to both initial questions in full on the two programs that used the excerpts,” said Gillespie in the letter to NBC News President Steve Capus.

Gillespie’s letter didn’t stop there, he also ripped into NBC for its dishonest coverage of the Iraq war on that network and on its cable news network, MSNBC.

Gillespie used the opportunity to also inquire whether NBC News still believes that Iraq is in the midst of a civil war. In November 2006, the network decided to label the infighting in the country a “civil war.”

“I noticed that around September of 2007, your network quietly stopped referring to conditions in Iraq as a ‘civil war,’ ” Gillespie wrote. “Is it still NBC News’s carefully deliberated opinion that Iraq is in the midst of a civil war? If not, will the network publicly declare that the civil war has ended, or that it was wrong to declare it in the first place?”

Finally, Gillespie got in a parting shot at the network for increasingly blurring the lines between its hard news coverage, and far-left opinion shows.

“I’m sure you don’t want people to conclude that there is really no distinction between the ‘news’ as reported on NBC and the ‘opinion’ as reported on MSNBC, despite the increasing blurring of those lines,” Gillespie concluded. “I welcome your response to this letter, and hope it is one that reassures your broadcast network’s viewers that blatantly partisan talk show hosts like Christopher Matthews and Keith Olbermann at MSNBC don’t hold editorial sway over the NBC network news division.”

I cannot imagine what possessed President Bush to agree to an interview with a known left-wing hack like Richard Engel. MSNBC is the most outrageously dishonest cable news channel in the history of cable news. NBC has begun to align itself more and more with the far-left garbage that MSNBC spews.

So it’s not at all shocking that President Bush’s interview was dishonestly edited. That’s standard operating procedure for the thugs at NBC.

It’s unprecedented the way MSNBC has been allowed to blur the lines in their news coverage. Keith Olbermann literally calls President Bush a liar, and a war criminal on his show “Countdown”, then they cut to commercial and return with Olbermann hosting live “non-partisan” coverage of the election results.

People are supposed to rely on unbiased coverage from a guy who five minutes previous was talking about hating Republicans and calling Bush a war criminal to deliver fair and balanced election coverage?

Let’s also not forget about Olbermann’s sidekick Chris Mathews who likes to talk about the “funny feeling” that runs up his leg when Obama gives a speech.
