A police officer stood up to complain about his health care benefits being cut and not getting a raise this year. Suffice it to say, Christie’s response was AWESOME.

While I have little sympathy for teachers and most public sector union folks, I can sympathize with this cop. Like Christie, I don’t blame him for being bitter and angry. He has every right to be. The gangsters who run his union and the gangster politicians in NJ promised that cop certain benefits. He planned his life around the assumption that those benefits would come through and they’re not.

I will never understand the mentality of unions. They would rather run a business out of business than make any concessions on benefits. They would rather be unemployed than employed with a few less perks. It’s bizarre.
