I actually look forward to hearing this stuff now. I’m always amazed at all the new things the asshats on MSNBC come up with to label “racist.” The best one so far this season was when Chris Matthews accused Newt Gingrich of racism for the way he said “Juan” to moderator Juan Williams during a debate.

But now we have a brand new phony racist allegation eminating from MSLSD MSNBC, this one courtesy of Rachel Madcow Rachel Maddow. During his speech after losing the Florida Primary, Newt referenced Obama singing an Al Green at the Apollo Theater recently, and called him the “Entertainer-In-Chief.”

Rachel Maddow says “Entertainer-In-Chief” was actually meant as a racial code word for “minstrel.” It doesn’t quit beat the “Juan” accusation, but it’s pretty good! Another good one this season was when Newt referenced Obama’s love of basketball and that too was labeled racist.

Things that are racist in 2012 (so far):

- Discussing Obama’s love of basketball

- Referring to Obama singing Al Green

- Calling Juan Williams by his first name (white republicans only)

- Discussing the increase in food stamp usage since Obama took office

- Pointing one’s index finger at Obama in close proximity to him

- Criticizing Eric Holder for involvement in “Operation Fast and Furious” (this counts as racist attack on both Holder and Obama)

- The Tea Party

- Fox News (this has always been considered racist)

Republican Newt Gingrich and his rival Mitt Romney clashed in the opening moments of Thursday’s debate in Florida. Gingrich said Romney is the “most anti-immigrant” candidate and Romney called such rhetoric “inexcusable” and “repulsive.”

There are two givens in any election campaign: 1) the candidates will make grand promises that they can never keep and 2) they will pander to their audience at every opportunity.

But on Wednesday, Newt “grandiose is my middle name” [it isn't] Gingrich took those truisms on to a whole new, extraplanetary level. Speaking to an audience on Florida’s Space Coast ahead of the state’s primary next week, the big-thinking Republican hopeful turned his science fiction fantasies into a hard and fast campaign promise.

“By the end of my second term we will have the first permanent base on the moon and it will be American,” he said. According to Talking Points Memo Gingrich went on to say that the base would be used for “science, tourism, and manufacturing” and to create a “robust industry” modelled on the airline business in the 20th century.

And from there, how could a president ever top that? Well, that would be a mission to Mars obviously, said Gingrich – or Newt Lightyear as my colleague Richard Adams has now dubbed him.

Some reporters in the room undoubtedly would have known that they were witnesses to a historic moment: Gingrich finally losing his mind. But that’s not how Newt saw things, according to Andrew Kaczynski from Buzzfeed Politics.

Of course, Newt has aired his space musings in public before. In December, he defended his policy in favour of lunar mining during one of the live televised debates. Then of course there are his repeated warnings over the dangers to America from an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) caused by a nuclear warhead detonating in space.

By all accounts, Gingrich’s promise drew huge applause on the Space Coast. On Twitter, a far more forbidding place at the best of times, the response was more sceptical. The Guardian’s Ana Marie Cox immediately raised one obvious drawback:

Philip Klein, of the Washington Examiner, was slightly more charitable.

But while the small-minded, earthbound mainstream media may mock, Gingrich can be sure of one thing. If he can pull off a feat as unlikely as winning the Republican nomination, beating Obama in November and going on to secure a second term, anything is possible.

Marianne Gingrich says she refused GOP candidate’s request.

The first question in last night’s CNN debate went to Newt Gingrich. He was asked whether his ex-wife’s allegation that he wanted an “open marriage” were true. This was his answer…

People who say the rich are not “paying their fair share” need only to look at Newt Gingrich’s tax records he released last night. Gingrich earned $3.4 million in 2010 (which is “rich” unless you live in NYC or LA) and paid $944,708 in taxes. So essentially he had to fork over a $1 million because he earned $3.5 million. That’s a lot of money. 31.7 percent of their gross adjusted income to be exact. The idea that higher income Americans should be forced to hand over even more of their earnings to the government is outrageous. It’s outright theft.

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich paid nearly $1 million in federal income taxes in 2010 on more than $3.1 million in income, filings released Thursday showed amid renewed calls for rival Mitt Romney to release his tax records as well.

Gingrich’s tax returns — released minutes after the start of the latest Republican presidential debate — showed he and his wife paid $994,708, or about 31.7 percent, of their adjusted income in taxes. Personal financial disclosure forms filed last summer show Gingrich is worth more than $6.5 million.

As a side note, it’s pretty pathetic for Gingrich to keep attacking Mitt Romney for his wealth and business dealings at Bain Capital. One can argue about how many jobs Romney created, but it was a hell of a lot more than Newt Gingrich ever did as a lobbyist and author after leaving Congress. Republicans should leave the politics of envy and class warfare to the Democrats.

In attempt to keep their man Obama in office, ABC News is set to air a 2 hour interview with one of Newt Gingrich’s ex-wives, whom he was married to for 18 years. Indications are that it’s a bombshell interview that could potentially end Newt’s career. According to the Drudge Report and The NY Slimes Times there was a heated debate inside ABC on whether it’s ethical to air such an interview just days before the South Carolina Primary. However, it appears the issue has been resolved and the interview will air before the primary.

An ABC News spokesman confirmed Wednesday night that “Nightline” will broadcast the interview at 11:35 p.m. Thursday; excerpts will be released earlier in the day, before a Republican debate sponsored by CNN on Thursday evening.

It seems pretty shady for the media to throw a monkey wrench into the South Carolina primary like this. However, I will wait and see what the woman has to say. I hope it’s not just a bunch of sour grapes salacious details about their marriage we really don’t need to know. It’s not exactly a surprise that the woman Newt was married to for 18 years and cheated on would not think too highly of him. But it happened many years ago so why come forward now unless it’s purely for the sake of vengeance.

But I think Mark Levin made the best point about all this. He wondered when the media was going to get around to vetting Barack Obama. We still know very little about Barack Obama and all his shady associations and dealings because the media has refused to look into them. Barack Obama is the only president in modern American history who has steadfastly refused to release his college transcripts. I wonder why that is? When is the media going to wonder why that is? A hopeful sign came a couple of days ago when Fox’s Ed Henry asked WH propagandist Jay Carney about this very thing — Carney dodged it.

Never mind that more whites are on food stamps than blacks. Chris Matthews doesn’t like to let facts get in the way of his narrative.

You really have to laugh at this point. Or cry? The phony accusations of racism coming out of MSNBC are becoming so absurd it’s hard to believe they’re really serious. And it’s so early in the election season! The fact that even a tiny segment of America actually takes these clowns seriously and looks to this channel for “news” both amazing and scary.

During last night’s GOP debate, Fox News contributor Juan Williams asked Newt Gingrich about some allegedly racially insensitive comments he made in the past. Gingrich responded to Williams by using his first name “Juan.” According to Chris Matthews this another example of that undercover “dog whistle” racism that Republicans are guilty of. Newt is a racist for calling Juan Williams by his name. Wow.

Sarah Palin seems to be annoyed by her husband’s recent full throated endorsement of Newt Gingrich. Todd and Sarah are typically on the same page about things. It’s interesting that they’re so divided over a presidential candidate. Sarah says “dude went rogue” with his unplanned Gingrich endorsement. I wanna know who Bristol is endorsing.
