Vikings running back Adrian Peterson says NFL owners’ treatment of players is like “modern day slavery.” Peterson is set to make $10.72 million base salary in 2011. Frankly, these arrogant athletes are a lot like liberal politicians. They live in a dream world. Peterson makes 10 million a year to throw a ball around a field. That to him is tantamount to slavery. He should get a pay cut for stupidity. Better yet, he should be forced to get a real job.

Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison Monday for his role in a dogfighting conspiracy that involved gambling and killing pit bulls.

The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback could have been sentenced up to five years by District Judge Henry E. Hudson. Vick was dressed in a black-and-white striped prison suit and apologized to the court and his family.

The Atlanta Falcons are entitled to recover nearly $20 million in bonus money paid to disgraced quarterback Michael Vick, an arbitrator ruled Tuesday. The players’ union vowed to appeal.
