NY Post: Olbermann Is Gym Annoyance

June 10, 2008 · Filed Under Funny · Comment

The NY Post today has a hilarious piece about the most common gym annoyances for New Yorkers. Some of the complaints listed are aggressive nakedness, kissing ones own muscles, hogging weights, pooping in the pool, and when the TV is tuned to “Countdown with Keith Olbermann.”

Sean Bell Protesters Clog Key Transit Areas Across NYC

May 7, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized · 1 Comment

Al Sharpton is leading mass acts of “civil disobedience” across NYC today.

Simultaneous protests planned for 3 p.m. are being held in six key transit areas in the city, including:

  • Site A: 125th and Third Avenue (led by W. Franklyn Richardson, Chairman of National Action Network)
  • Site B: Third Avenue and 60th Street (Led by National Action Network senior staff)
  • Site C: 34th and Park Avenue (Led by National Action Network Senior Staff)
  • Site D: Varick and Houston Street (Led by Hazel Dukes, NAACP and Labor leaders)
  • Site E: One Police Plaza (Led by Rev. Al Sharpton. Nicole Paultre Bell, Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield will be at this location)
  • Site F: House of the Lord Church, Brooklyn, New York (Led by Rev. Herbert Daughtry)  – five in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn.

I guess Al Sharpton’s way of getting back at the judicial system over the Sean Bill case is to prevent hard working New Yorker’s from getting to and from work. That’ll show em!

More Nooses Found

Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby said that two nooses were left dangling from a forklift at the town’s highway yard in Roosevelt, Long Island.

One of the nooses was hanging around the neck of a stuffed cartoon doll that had tar spread across its face. Murray says the nooses were found around lunchtime by a yard worker.

This isn’t the first time a noose was found in the town of Hempstead recently. Less than a month ago a noose was discovered inside the men’s locker room at the Hempstead police department.

This whole noose thing really is outrageous and it’s a deliberate attempt to provoke racial tensions. We need to resist that at all costs. There’s no question that provocative hate speech like this is news, but it seems like the press coverage is what’s driving this now.

If it didn’t generate headlines I don’t think these morons would keep it up. It looks like the hate was kicked up a notch with the noose around a doll this time.

Noose Left Dangling By NYC Post Office

There was a disturbing discovery near Ground Zero in Manhattan Thursday. A noose was found hanging from a lamppost at the Church Street Post Office. This is just the latest message of hate striking the city.

Police said it wasn’t clear where or at whom the Church Street noose might have been directed.

“At this point, there was no target that was evident or any motive,” U.S. Postal Inspection Service spokesman Al Weissman said Friday morning. He said no postal workers had reported any threats or other problems.

Councilman James Oddo in Borat-Style ‘Ambush’

An obscenity-laced video of a city councilman kicking a Norwegian interviewer out of his office has drawn a bigger audience than he’s ever had at City Hall. The video of New York City Councilman James Oddo and a woman using the fake interview format made famous by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s Ali G character has been viewed more than 415,000 times since it went up on YouTube just a few days ago.

Great clip!

Empire State Building Going ‘Hamas Green’ for Ramadan

Brilliant is the only word that can describe making the Empire State Building green to signify the end of Ramadan. I’m sure New Yorker’s will beam with pride as the official color of Hamas glows brightly over the city with the largest Jewish population.

It makes sense to recognize Christian and Jewish holidays, because that represents the make-up of our country. Fortunately, the U.S. has one of the smallest Muslim populations in the world unlike Britain which is fast becoming The Islamic Republic of Britain.

In short, we don’t want to recognize Ramadan and we don’t need to recognize Ramadan.
