Obama Team Cries To Politico About Losing The Health Care Debate
From reading Politico this morning it seems like the Obama administration is all out of ideas. They hope to play the Obama card by trotting out the president to bloviate once again about why the American people should buy what he’s selling.
Politico laments the fact that Obama hasn’t been the post-partisan president so many people hoped he would be. It’s not that he hasn’t tried, but that darn “right-wing noise machine” just won’t let him!
The idea of a “post-partisan” president who’s soaring rhetoric brings people together was always a myth. What the president and his allies don’t seem to understand is that messaging is not their problem. Reframing the debate is not their problem. The policies themselves are the problem.
The American people reject the kind of far-left agenda this administration is trying to push. They don’t like the outrageous spending, the Communist czars, the CIA investigations, the government takeovers, and they damn sure don’t want a government run health care plan.
No amount of speech-making or campaigning is going to change that. No amount of television ads, SEIU intimidation, ACORN fraud, or story omissions by the mainstream media is going to change that.
What Obama needs to do is do what Clinton did and come back to the center politically. He needs to stick a hood over Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi’s head and stick her in a closet somewhere.
The Obama administration thought their historic victory came with a mandate for a radical leftist agenda. They thought wrong.

Glenn Beck Statement On Van Jones Resignation
Glenn Beck released this statement following the resignation of Communist Van Jones:
The American people stood up and demanded answers. Instead of providing them, the Administration had Jones resign under cover of darkness. I continue to be amazed by the power of everyday Americans to initiate change in our government through honest questioning, and judging by the other radicals in the administration, I expect that questioning to continue for the foreseeable future.
Beck deserves a lot of credit for staying on Van Jones. While it’s true that we in the blogging community played our part, without the enormous spotlight Glenn Beck was able to put on this administration the resignation of Van Jones would not have been possible.
NY Times: Hillary Clinton To Accept
The NY Times is confirming that Hillary Clinton has decided to accept the secretary of state position. Clinton allegedly came to her decision after additional discussions with Barack Obama about his foreign policy intentions and what her role would be in them.
I think Hillary is a fine choice for secretary of state. She’s a shrewd and calculating politician to be sure, but in the primaries she wasn’t a shrinking violet when it came to national security unlike the president-elect. Obama certainly could have done a lot worse than picking Hillary Clinton. He could have chosen a peacenik buffoon like Bill Richardson which would have been a disaster — so we lucked out.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Obama’s pragmatic choices for some of the most important cabinet positions. His decision to keep Gates as Sec. Def. was a fantastic choice.
I’m gonna continue to sleep with one eye open however, as we wait for our untested and unvetted new president to take office. Even though some of his cabinet picks have certainly been a relief, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. There’s something loony and left-wing just around the corner — I just don’t know what it is yet.
