Kudos to Jake Tapper for being a serious journalist. He’s the only reporter outside of Fox’s Major Garrett with the stones to hold the president’s feet to the fire.

Obama Coordinates With Huffington Post On Iran Question

The first thing I noticed about Obama’s dog and pony show press conference was the staged question from The Huffington Post about Iran.

It was obvious the president knew what the question was before hand which kind of defeats the purpose of a press conference.

Politico says of the exchange:

Reporters typically don’t coordinate their questions for the president before press conferences, so it seemed odd that Obama might have an idea what the question would be. Also, it was a departure from White House protocol by calling on The Huffington Post second, in between the AP and Reuters.

Like everything else with Obama, his press conferences are perfectly coordinated Hollywood productions that are of little actual value.

Fox Declines To Air Obama Press Conference

fox2 300x300 Fox Declines To Air Obama Press Conference

President Obama is celebrating his first 100 days in office by scheduling another prime-time press conference next week. This time however, The Fox Network isn’t playing ball. Fox says it will not carry Obama’s press conference and instead will premiere a new episode of “Lie To Me.” (That title is purely coincidental I’m sure)

Considering how much time Obama’s head is on our television screens with words coming out of his mouth, I really don’t think it’s gonna be any great loss. The president should celebrate his 100 days in office by doing something unexpected — like not coming on TV and bloviating for an hour.
