Chris Matthews Toasts Barack Obama On Ellen
Since the election, Chris Matthews doesn’t even bother hiding his passionate love for all things Barack Obama. It started when he flat out told Joe Scarborough that his job was to make Obama’s presidency a success. Since then his leg has been tingling full-time and his appearance on Ellen was no different.
Behold the partial transcript:
ELLEN DEGENERES: Amazing! And you must be thrilled? I mean what, what a moment.
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Well I am thrilled!
DEGENERES: Yeah.
MATTHEWS, picking up shot glass: To Barack Obama!
DEGENERES, toasting: Yeah. To Barack Obama!
Matthews is such a shameless hack.

Reporter: “I Worked Out With Obama!”
If you thought the Obama worship couldn’t get much worse, you were wrong. A reporter in Germany writes of her surprise workout parter at the Ritz Carlton in Berlin.
It’s 16:02pm and I’ve been training in the gym of the Ritz Carlton hotel in Berlin. A man in a suit approaches me and says: “Barack Obama is about to come and train …“ Shortly after half past four and he actually arrives! Barack Obama is wearing a grey t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms – and a great smile!
…Obama (with toned arms and a strong back) puts on his headphones for his iPod to listen to pop music. He hums quietly. Then he jumps on a fitness bike. He pushes three times on the pedals – but then can’t be bothered with it.
He goes and picks up a pair of 16 kilo weights and starts curling them with his left and right arms, 30 repetitions on each side. Then, amazingly, he picks up the 32 kilo weights!
…Shortly before five o’clock Obama comes over and sits directly next to my cross-trainer on the mat. First he does 10 sit-ups, then stretches. Then he looks at his watch and says to his bodyguard: “It’s time, let’s go.” Quickly I ask: “Mr. Obama, could I take a photo?”. “Of course!” he answers, before asking my name and coming over to stand next to me.
“My name’s Judith” I reply. “I’m Barack Obama, nice to meet you!” he says, and puts his arm across my shoulder. I put my arm around his hip – wow, he didn’t even sweat! WHAT A MAN!
Lord knows I’ve read some puff pieces about Obama but this one is in a class by itself. I realize it’s not every day that God comes floating in to the gym, but come on!

NY Times Still In Denial About Pro-Obama Bias
NY Times TV critic Alessandra Stanley wrote a shockingly ridiculous piece in today’s paper. Stanley rejected the claim that the media is pro-Obama, and said his trip overseas was only a big story because he already looks like he’s president. She went on to admire his confidence and “statesmanly restraint,” whatever the hell that is.
But it’s not pro-Obama bias in the news media that’s driving the effusion of coverage, it’s the news: Mr. Obama’s weeklong tour of war zones and foreign capitals is noteworthy because it is so unusual to see a presidential candidate act so presidential overseas. Mr. Obama looks supremely confident and at home talking to generals and heads of state, so much so that some viewers may find the pose presumptuous — as if Mr. Obama believes that not only is his official nomination at the Democratic convention in August a mere formality, so is the November election.
The part in bold is what I really can’t believe. The only thing unusual about Obama’s overseas trip is the obscene media amount of media coverage it’s receiving.

The New Republic: MSNBC In The Tank For Obama
It looks like even the far-left is finally starting to realize that MSNBC is voting for Obama this year. Now left-wing rag The New Republic is voicing concern over the constant pro-Obama, anti-Hillary coverage emanating from that ridiculous channel.
