novakrobert Columnist Robert Novak Has Brain Tumor

Conservative columnist Robert Novak has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Statement from Novak:

“On Sunday, July 27, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I have been admitted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where doctors will soon begin appropriate treatment.

“I will be suspending my journalistic work for an indefinite but, God willing, not too lengthy period.”

Bob Novak is a great guy and a brilliant columnist. He and his family will be in our prayers, and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Clinton Camp Fires Back Over Column

November 18, 2007 · Filed Under Barack Obama, Politics · Comment

Top Democratic rivals for president verbally battled each other on Saturday after conservative columnist Robert Novak asserted front-runner Hillary Clinton claimed to have damaging information about Barack Obama.

The Clinton campaign denied the accusation, saying Obama’s reaction to the vaguely worded column by Robert Novak played into Republican hands and showed the Illinois senator’s lack of political savvy.

Obama’s team later said they took the Clinton campaign at its word but bristled at the idea they fell for Republican tricks and should not have fought back against “smear politics” in the race for the presidency in the November 2008 election.

Obama, a first-term senator seeking to portray himself as an alternative to traditional Washington politics, seized on the article and said Clinton should either come forward with any information she has or repudiate Novak’s column.

“She of all people, having complained so often about ‘the politics of personal destruction,’ should move quickly to either stand by or renounce these tactics,” Obama said in his initial statement.

He called the column “a shameless item” aimed at smearing him through “innuendo and insinuation.”

Clinton’s camp quickly fired back.

“A Republican-leaning journalist runs a blind item designed to set Democrats against one another. Experienced Democrats see this for what it is. Others get distracted and thrown off their games,” Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said in a statement.

“We have no idea what Mr. Novak’s item is about and reject it totally.”

Novak Claims Clinton Campaign Has Dirt On Obama

From Human Events:

Agents of Sen. Hillary Clinton are spreading the word in Democratic circles that she has scandalous information about her principal opponent for the party’s presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama, but has decided not to use it. The nature of the alleged scandal was not disclosed.

This word-of-mouth among Democrats makes Obama look vulnerable and Clinton look prudent. It comes during a dip for the front-running Clinton after she refused to take a stand on New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s now discarded plan to give driver’s licenses to illegal aliens.

Experienced Democratic political operatives believe Clinton wants to avoid a repetition of 2004, when attacks on each other by presidential candidates Howard Dean and Richard Gephardt were mutually destructive and facilitated John Kerry’s nomination.

Jimmy Carter: Idiot From Plains

November 5, 2007 · Filed Under Islam, Opinion, Terrorism, Terrorists · 1 Comment

I think Robert Novak is suffering from temporary insanity this week as he promotes the new film about Jimmy Carter called Jimmy Carter: Man From Plains. Novak makes the ridiculous assertion that Carter’s views on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict are the correct ones.

Like Carter he advocates the withdrawal of Israel from the West Bank, ceding even more of the Jewish state to a bunch of terrorists. It’s not enough that Jews are not allowed to pray at the Temple Mount which is the holiest site in Judaism, because the Muslims might get offended. No, if they just give up a little more land then the Muslims will be happy!

That is complete and utter nonsense. Jimmy Carter was the worst President in American history, especially on foreign policy matters. He only knows one kind of diplomacy and it’s called appeasement. Just give the suicide bombers everything they want and maybe they’ll stop the murder!

Both Fatah and Hamas are brutal terrorist organizations that would love nothing more than to see every single Jew die a fiery death. Every single important Jewish and Christian site in Israel either has a Mosque on it or will have one very soon.

Can you imagine if Jews or Christians went to Saudi Arabia and built a big ass church or synagogue in Mecca? Muslims all over the world would simultaneously explode in one giant fiery suicide bombing. The media consistently reports everything that happens in Israel from a sympathetic Palestinian point-of-view.

The story is always that mean old Israel is cutting down innocent Palestinians in the streets again. Oh! how they suffer under the brutal “occupation.”

Israel is not nearly as brutal as they should be. Savage Palestinian thugs constantly murder Jews and intimidate Christians on a daily basis, and Jimmy Carter wants Israel to give the killers just a little more.

The Israeli/Palestinian conflict will never be resolved peacefully, because the Palestinians are a bunch of Jew-hating murdering terrorists that are lucky to even be guests in the Jewish state.

Of course you can’t expect Jimmy Carter to understand anything about fighting terrorism since he sat on his hands while Americans were held hostage by thugs in Iran.

Hopefully, Robert Novak will come back from whatever mental vacation he’s on and actually contribute something worth reading in the future.
