San Francisco Mad At Michael Jordan For Smoking Cigar
I honestly cannot think of a city that deserves more ridicule than Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi’s San Francisco. They’ve taken the left-wing nanny state thing to laughable extremes. The latest example of this is the recent “furor” Michael Jordan created while participating in the President’s Cup Golf Tournament in San Francisco.
What did Michael do on the gold course that caused such controversy? He smoked a cigar. Can you believe that? How shameful.
Jordan — who is acting as the honorary assistant captain for the U.S. team at the event — puffed while playing a practice round despite the city’s ban on smoking at public golf courses.
Pictures were published in the San Francisco Chronicle of the 46-year-old flouting the rules, a move which prompted city officials to request the PGA Tour to remind Jordan of the law.
"It was sort of a gentle nudge reminding them that smoking is illegal and that we would appreciate their support," Recreation and Park General Manager Phil Ginsburg told the Chronicle.
The fact that a city would even think to outlaw smoking on public golf courses is a clear sign of an out of control government. Think about it, was smoking on public golf courses such a problem that a law was needed to rain it in? How do you even come up with that?
San Francisco is a pathetic city with a tyrannical government (much like NYC is becoming). I don’t smoke, but people should have the right to smoke if they want. I’ll even go along with not smoking in restaurants, but people can’t smoke outdoors? Get real.
San Francisco lets illegal aliens run wild, allows homeless people to sleep anywhere, and permits pot shops all over the place — but Michael Jordan has to extinguish his cigar.
Mike should have come back with an entire humidor full of stogies and smoked them two at a time.
Pelosi Adds $30 Million To Stimulus Bill For Protecting Mouse In San Francisco
San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi is determined to bring home the bacon. She has made sure to include more than $30 million dollars for wetlands restoration and preserving the habitat of the allegedly endangered salt marsh harvest mouse in San Francisco.
Talk about a pet project. A tiny mouse with the longtime backing of a political giant may soon reap the benefits of the economic-stimulus package.
Lawmakers and administration officials divulged Wednesday that the $789 billion economic stimulus bill being finalized behind closed doors in Congress includes $30 million for wetlands restoration that the Obama administration intends to spend in the San Francisco Bay Area to protect, among other things, the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi represents the city of San Francisco and has previously championed preserving the mouse’s habitat in the Bay Area.
Congress benefits from the fact that most Americans don’t pay attention to what’s going on in this country. They occasionally tune in to news and hear liberal garbage about the coming apocalypse if we don’t pass a $1 trillion dollar stimulus porkulus bill. It’s incredibly misleading when president Obama tells the public that this abomination of a bill contains “no earmarks.” Basically, the entire f*cking bill is an earmark. It’s a grab bag of every liberal project ever thought up in the last 40 years for states and the federal government.
Restoring wetlands and protecting a mouse that environmental extremists cry about is not stimulus and it’s not gonna help the economy. Everything liberals have ever dreamed of passing, but could never get the votes for has been thrown into this bill and called “stimulus.”
Every single republican should vote against this outrageous bill. Arlen Spector, Susan Collins, and any other republican who votes for this pig should be challenged in the next primary. I’m all in favor of bipartisanship, but this bill is a pig and it’s unthinkable for any republican (any real republican) to support it.
What the f*ck is going on in this country? Has everybody completely lost their f*cking mind?
Feds Investingating San Francisco For Subverting Immigration Law
San Francisco is one of a handful of left-wing cities that has decided not to follow federal immigration law. However, the true scope of the city’s law breaking is only now becoming evident.
San Francisco’s juvenile probabtion department are actively trying to protect Honduran juveniles caught dealing crack and other offenses by using tax payer money to fly them home. This allows the dealers to avoid official deportation which allows them to re-enter the United States.
Rather than have the drug offenders deported, they have recommended that Juvenile Court judges and commissioners approve city-paid flights home to Honduras for the offenders with the aim of reuniting them with their families.
The practice, federal authorities say, does nothing to prevent offenders from coming back, while federal deportation legally bars them from ever returning. Federal officials also say U.S. law prohibits helping an illegal immigrant to cross the border, even if it is to return home.
Federal officials recently detained a San Francisco juvenile probation officer at the Houston airport, where he was accompanying two Honduran juvenile drug offenders about to board a flight to Tegucigalpa.
Some offenders have been caught and given a free flight home 3 or 4 times on the tax payer’s dime. This is a serious violation of federal law punishable by prison time, and the feds are in the midst of a serious investigation into the city.
This is yet another stunning example of just how crazy San Francisco has become. The rule of law of has become nothing more than a joke as the far-left has tightened its grip on the city.
San Francisco Group Hopes To Put President Bush’s Name On Sewer Plant
A San Francisco group calling itself the Presidential Memorial Commission is hoping to name a sewer plant after President Bush. The group claim that a sewer plant is the perfect monument to his presidency.
If the group has its way, the George W. Bush Sewer Plant will make its debut in January when Dubya officially leaves office, and some supporters say the occasion should be marked by a city-wide “synchronized flush.”
You just have to laugh at that because it’s hard to imagine people actually spending time trying to make that happen. How could a city that’s home to some of the brightest people in the country also be home to some of the dumbest people?
This is a prime example of the differences between liberals and conservatives. Liberals are often times hateful and mean spirited to those they disagree with. Bush critics don’t just want him to leave office they want to injure him in some way.
The whole thing is pretty pathetic.

San Francisco Approves ID Cards That Exclude Gender
Next year, San Francisco will issue municipal identification cards showing the usual name, birthdate and photo, but not gender.
When other cities considered issuing ID cards without regard to legal status, the debate was over illegal immigrants. In San Francisco, where the Board of Supervisors approved such an ID on Tuesday, transgender activists added gender to the discussion.
“Transgender” is a broad term for people who do not identify with their birth sex. Those who refer to themselves as transgender include cross-dressers and transsexuals.
“The card really makes gender a non-issue,” says Kristina Wertz, legal director of the Transgender Law Center in San Francisco.
Wertz says legally changing a name and gender designation can be time-consuming and cost hundreds of dollars. IDs that don’t match appearance could “out” people and make them vulnerable to discrimination or abuse, she says.
San Francisco Approves I.D. Cards For Everyone Including Illegal Aliens
The Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to issue municipal identification cards to city residents, regardless of whether they are in the country legally.
Supervisor Tom Ammiano, who authored the ID card legislation, said the program is a smart public safety measure because it would make residents living on the social margins of San Francisco more likely to seek the help of police and could give them more access to banking services.
The truth is that everyone in San Francisco lives on the social margins, that’s why they hate the military, religion, and border security.
It’s totally irresponsible to allow anyone to have an official I.D. card. A terrorist only has to buy a fake passport and then use it to get an official I.D. card and they have officially become a new person. Then they can take that shiny new I.D. and open bank accounts, get drivers licenses, and even vote.
This is yet another example of why San Francisco is completely out of touch with reality.
