Video: Rep. Tim Bishop Tries To Stack Town Hall With Unions — But It Backfires
This is a beautiful thing. Rep. Tim Bishop who represents New York’s 1st congressional district bussed in 3 loads of union thugs to stack his town hall.
This didn’t sit well with the grassroots folks who showed up. When the union boss said he didn’t even live in the district — the crowd went wild. The union thugs were run out of the joint.
The democrats can bus in all the phony Obamacare drones they want, but the genuine grassroots passion will not be silenced. Real passion beats phony passion no matter what.
Nice try, Bishop.
The union thugs have a huge financial interest in seeing Obamacare pass even if it kills the rest of us. So screw them.
GM Preparing Bankruptcy Plans
According to Bloomberg, GM is speeding up plans for bankruptcy even as the board prepares another restructuring plan for Obama. GM is going to end up going into bankruptcy, because they still have the albatross around their neck called the UAW. The union has destroyed the American car industry and no amount of “restructuring” by the Obama administration is going to cure that.
The fastest way for the American auto industry to become profitable and competitive again is to get the hell away from unions. That’s never going to happen especially under this administration, therefore the auto companies are destined for bankruptcy.
Biden’s SEIU Pal Arrested For Pickpocketing
During the presidential campaign, VP Joe Biden was visiting with his union pals during his phony “Walk A Day In My Shoes” publicity stunt.
One of the guys Biden “walked” with was an idiot who sits on the board of the SEIU. His name is Marshall Clemons and he’s a custodian for the Iowa school system.
Biden being the regular guy he is (wink wink) helped Marshall buff floors and change air conditioning filters. However, Marshall has a new pair of shoes Joe should try walking in — county jail slippers.
Marshall Clemons was caught on tape pickpocketing people and was subsequently arrested in possession of several wallets other than his own.
Obama Signs Union-Pandering Executive Orders
Labor unions got the first big gift of the Obama administration today when president Obama signed a series of union-pandering executive orders aimed at keeping workers in the dark about their rights. President Bush signed an order that allowed unionized companies to post signs informing workers they were allowed to leave unions if they so chose. Barack Obama doesn’t think workers need to know anything about that and with the stroke of his pen — the signs came down.
Unions are truly loathsome organizations. They’re wholly owned subsidiaries of the left-wing of the democratic party. The goal of unions today is to amass as much power, money, and influence as possible by getting as many far-left politicians elected as possible.
Ron Gettlefinger who runs the UAW admitted the other day that Toyota actually pays their workers more than the unionized big three do. Since the UAW’s very existence is predicated on the need to get fair wages for workers, and Toyota is not unionized (and making a profit) then why do workers need the UAW? Guess what? They don’t.
The only people who need unions are unions. Union bosses wanna keep the coffers full so they can relax at their fancy resorts and play golf on their designer courses while bleeding companies dry. Unions are like parasites that suck the profitability out of businesses. The more people they can force into union enslavement the more money they can make off the dues.
The idea that a “strong middle class” means strong labor unions is total hogwash. That’s a narrative the far left has stuck to for years and is considered settled fact in the democratic party (just like global warming) but it’s all bullshit. President Bush had the opportunity of a lifetime to bust the UAW once and for all by letting the big three go bankrupt and he blew it.
The absolute holy grail for unions is the card check legislation currently winding it’s way through Congress. Unions are licking their collective lips waiting for Obama to put his Johnny Hancock on it. Then all it will take is a little intimidation to get the majority of workers at a company to sign a card saying they want a union and poof — they’re unionized! No more secret ballot. If you as a worker dare not sign the card…well let’s just say everyone knows where you live.
Today’s executive orders are only a warm-up lap for what’s coming — just wait and see.

The UAW Has A Country Club And They Want A Bailout
If you were pissed about the coming auto bailout already, then you’re really going to be livid after you hear what Michelle has to say. It turns out the fat cat auto workers union owns a championship golf course. The union hired one of golf’s most acclaimed course architects to build it. The course is the latest addition to the 1,000+ acre country club owned and operated by the UAW.
Black Lake Golf Course
“Owned and operated by the United Auto Workers union, Black Lake is a public course that provides UAW members and retirees substantial discounts from the regular greens fees. But even at regular rates of up to $95 per round, Black Lake is worth the price. Tee time reservations are accepted up to 14 days in advance for UAW members, and three days in advance for public play.”
This is the same union that just days ago refused to negotiate salary cuts that would have brought worker pay in line with their japanese counterparts at Toyota and the other foreign auto companies.
That golf course isn’t the only thing that sits on that fat 1,000 acres either:
Black Lake Golf Club complements the Center’s recreational facilities, which now include a beautiful gym with two full-sized basketball courts, an Olympic-size indoor pool, and exercise and weight room, table-tennis and pool tables, a sauna, beaches, walking and bike trails, softball and soccer fields and a boat launch ramp.
Congress rightly criticized the big 3 CEO’s for showing up hat in hand on their private jets, but when is someone going to tell the UAW to sell their stupid country club if they really need money?
I don’t like unions. I think there was a legitimate need for them a couple of decades ago, but now they’ve gotten out of control. They really only operate as extensions of the democratic party anyway. Unions love to say that they exist to ensure that workers are payed a fair wage. However, when critics say U.S. auto workers need to take a pay cut to bring their compensation in line with Japanese auto makers, the union says their workers are already on par with Toyota and the rest and in some cases make less than them.
Which raises the question, why have a union? If the Japanese auto workers are making the same and sometimes more than U.S. workers and they’re not even unionized then why have a union?
President Bush should not give the big 3 a single dime. This is a golden opportunity to “pierce the heart of organized labor” as UAW president Ron Gettlefinger put it the other day. We can finally bust the UAW and get the American auto industry back on its feet and profitable again.
