Obama Refused To Give Speech In Front Of F-22

by Chris Jones on December 3, 2009

Obama-F15

Remember when President Obama gave a speech recently in Alaska? He spoke at Elmendorf AFB which is home to two squadrons of F-22 Raptors. As a result, there was a shiny new F-22 sitting in the hangar where the president was to speak.

One would think the president would be filled with pride to have his photo taken standing in front of the most advanced fighter aircraft on earth. Most presidents I’m sure would — but not this president.

When President Obama spoke to troops at Alaska’s Elmendorf Air Force Base last month, the unit there parked a shiny new F-22 fighter plane in the hangar. But according to multiple sources, White House aides demanded the plane be changed to an older F-15 fighter because they didn’t want Obama speaking in front of the F-22, a controversial program he fought hard to end.

"White House aides actually made them remove the F-22-said they would not allow POTUS to be pictured with the F-22 in any way, shape, or form," one source close to the unit relayed.

This White House literally views everything through a political lens. Yeah, he fought to end production at 187 aircraft, but does that mean he hates the ones we have? Why would you make them put an old ass 1970’s F-15 in the background instead of our newest and finest fighter aircraft? What the hell is wrong with this president?

F-22

The real kicker is that during his speech that day he praised the 90th Fighter Squadron and the 525th Fighter Squadron both of which proudly fly the F-22. Yet, he’s too much of a prick to have his photo taken in front of one.

What a jerk.

To be completely fair, the F-15 is a damn good plane. The F-22 was an overpriced plane for what it can do, and getting rid of it, is not as big a deal as alot of people would have you believe. Not to say there is not allot of other military cuts that were stupid and dangerous, but lets not go inventing trouble where there is none. We lose credibility when we do that and people just assume we hate everything and anything obama does just because it is obama.

And you do not want to disparage all the f-15 squadrons we already have out there who have been in service allot longer and proved their worth beyond measure.
