Attorney General Eric Holder Panders To Muslim Groups

eric holder 0114 thumb Attorney General Eric Holder Panders To Muslim Groups

Hat tip to Michelle for staying on this story. Attorney General Eric Holder flew to Detroit last night to pander to Muslim groups and assure them that the DOJ is committed to upholding their rights. He promised their would be no “profiling” of Arab Americans in light of the Fort Hood shooting, etc.

Reaching out to Arab Americans and Muslims, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said in a Detroit speech Thursday night that their full rights must be protected as the country battles security threats.

“This is not blind adherence to political correctness,” Holder told hundreds at the Detroit Marriott in the Renaissance Center. “It is devotion to our founding documents.”

He said that it’s vital that all ethnic and religious groups in America be treated equally. He also said racial profiling was bad policy that breeds mistrust and division.

“For the last nine months, I’ve heard from Muslim and Arab Americans who feel uneasy about their relationship with their government, who feel isolated and discriminated against by law enforcement,” Holder said. “It is inconsistent with what America is all about.”

…Holder spoke at the banquet of Advocates and Leaders for Police and Community Trust, which consists of about 100 minority groups and law enforcement officials in metro Detroit.

I’ll tell you what “breeds mistrust and division”, it’s having to worry if the Muslim soldier next you secretly wants to kill you.

Moreover, I don’t really give a damn if Muslims feel “uneasy” about their relationship with their government. I feel “uneasy” about them.

Muslim “Americans” have given us no reason to trust them. Their condemnation of Islamic terror has been consistently tepid ever since 9/11, and has remained so even after a U.S. soldier gunned down more than 50 people in the name of their God.

The notion that we shouldn’t “profile” is absurd. If you’re an Arab and you’re in this country you should get a little extra scrutiny. If it were the Irish who were trying to kill us or the Vietnamese I would feel exactly the same way.

It gives me no pleasure to feel this way, but lives are at stake and it’s important that we stop with the BS and be honest about what is going on.

When I see Muslim Americans take to the streets and protest the atrocities committed around the world in the name of their religion, then I may feel differently.

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely anything like that will ever happen. See, I’ve actually read the Koran and believe it or not the terrorists are right about what it says. Which is why I don’t buy into the premise that Islam is a “religion of peace.”

I know I’ll get a torrent of outraged emails calling me a racist and bigot and all the rest, and that’s absolutely fine. I stand by every word.

Video: Sarah Palin Arrives At Book Signing In Michigan

Going Rogue-Sarah Palin

Dan Calabrese from The North Star National went to Sarah Palin’s book signing in Grand Rapids, Michigan and took his camera man along. As he was interviewing the gathering crowd, Palin’s massive tour bus came pulling into the parking lot.

About the 5 minute mark it gets interesting. Palin gets off the bus and speaks to the crowd.

Make sure to pick up Sarah Palin’s new book “Going Rogue” — it’s a great book.

Jesse Jackson Says If You Don’t Depend On The Government You Can’t Call Yourself A Black Man

November 19, 2009 · Filed Under Politics · Comment

Jesse Jackson race card

Professional race hustler Jesse Jackson played his favorite card — the race card — while celebrating the 25th anniversary of his failed presidential bid.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Wednesday night criticized Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.) for voting against the Democrats’ signature healthcare bill.

“We even have blacks voting against the healthcare bill,” Jackson said at a reception Wednesday night. “You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.”

The remark stirred a murmur at the reception, held by the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Foundation as part of a series of events revolving around the 25th anniversary of Jackson’s run for president. Several CBC members were in attendance, including Chairwoman Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), who’d introduced Jackson.

Davis, who is running for governor, is the only black member of Congress from Alabama.

He is also the only member of the CBC to have voted against the healthcare bill earlier this month.

It’s because of people like Jackson and Sharpton that the black community is in such bad shape today. What Jackson was in effect saying is that you cannot call yourself a black man if you’re not dependant on the government.

Radical blacks love to demonize and intimidate other blacks who get out of line by accusing them of not being a “real” black person.

If you’re black and a republican — you’re not really black.

If you’re black and against government run health care — you’re not really black.

If you’re black and against cradle to grave entitlements — you’re not really black.

This reminds me of the subtle attempt by Barbara Boxer recently to smear a black conservative who appeared in front of her committee — but he called her on it.

Why can’t you be black AND believe in private health insurance and individual responsibility?

Jesse Jackson is a disgrace and the fact that nobody stood up for Rep. Davis shows what sheep members of the Congressional Black Caucus are. But, since most members of the CBC are radical black Marxists anyway, I guess it’s really no surprise.

Why The Hollywood Left Loves Dictators

It seems as if every time we turn around we see some Hollywood d-bag like Sean Penn rubbing elbows with Hugo Chavez, Castro, or some other nasty dictator or Commie.

Given that actors make a living using freedom of expression and rake in millions of dollars through the capitalist system, it seems odd that Hollywood would have such a love affair with dictators and tyrants.

Twitter Ends List Service After Liberal Favoritism Exposed

November 17, 2009 · Filed Under Politics, Technology · Comment

Twitter will finally end their list service that blatantly favors liberal politicians while excluding conservative ones.

The list service in question provides new Twitter users with lists of users they might like to follow — like say…other liberals.

It should be very disturbing to all Americans that powerful companies like Google and now Twitter constantly show favoritism and shill for left-wingers.

Google is in bed with the Obama administration and now Twitter is trying to influence political races. It’s outrageous.

It’s inconceivable to me how a successful company based in California can honestly want liberal democrats elected to anything. It’s bizarre. California is in total collapse after decades of leftist economic and environmental policies. Taxes are driving business out of the state at record numbers.

But for some reason companies like Google, Twitter, Apple, etc. want more of the same. They want to give more of their profits to the federal government. They want more environmental regulations to squeeze their businesses. They want to lose more freedom.

I just don’t get it. Are they just ideological Kool-Aid drinkers or is it something else? What am I missing?

Hey America, The Stimulus Package Was A Scam

bank robber thumb Hey America, The Stimulus Package Was A Scam

With every passing day we learn more and more about the treachery that was the so-called Obama “stimulus” package. Many of us saw the $787 billion scam for exactly what it was — a giant slush fund to pay back friends and cronies.

All you had to do was look at who wrote the stimulus bill. It was a who’s who of “social justice” organizations and assorted Commie Pinko cretins. It was never meant to create jobs or “stimulate” the economy. It was meant to give free shit to people who the left believes are owed something. It was about redistribution of wealth.

But, that’s not the half of it. We learn today that many of the jobs supposedly “saved or created” on account of the porkulus bill are in districts that don’t even exist.

Here’s a stimulus success story: In Arizona’s 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that’s what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.

There’s one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.

And ABC News has found many more entries for projects like this in places that are incorrectly identified.

The reality is that every member of Congress who voted to steal $787 billion of tax payer money (borrowed from China) should rot in jail.

SEIU Thugs Now Targeting Boy Scouts For Too Much Volunteering

SEIU beating

The organized crime family headed by Mob boss Andy Stern — also known as SEIU — is now targeting Boy Scouts Of America.

It seems President Obama’s “call for service” didn’t include encroaching on labor union turf.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, labor unions should be busted up.

Hanna Giles Lectures At Young Conservative Leadership Conference

November 16, 2009 · Filed Under Conservatives, Politics · 1 Comment

Hannah Giles

The L.A. Times has an excellent piece up about Hannah Giles and other conservative activists who lectured at the Young Conservative Leadership conference over the weekend.

More than 300 students from around the country attended the conference at the foundation’s headquarters, which is located at the Reagan Ranch Center here. The mission-style complex not far from the waterfront is, according to the foundation, "a schoolhouse for Reaganism."

Giles, a 20-year old college student, became a conservative superstar a few months ago when she and posed as a prostitute and her friend as a pimp in a video sting aimed at taking down ACORN.

Hannah, backed up by Andrew Breitbart and others, gave a lecture on the finer points of using guerrilla warfare tactics against liberal media organizations.

Here are a few tidbits: (emphasis mine)

Two years ago, she said, she was just a laid-back surfer kid from Miami when a friend got her to attend a foundation event in Washington, D.C. That, she said, was where she converted to conservatism.

In her lecture Friday about how to take down liberal organizations and expose what she called media corruption, Giles sought to stir others to action. "Above all, attack, attack, attack," she said, quoting Republican consultant Roger Stone. "Never defend."

For her own efforts, she was given the group’s Young Student Activist award.

When asked by a student what other organizations needed to be targeted besides ACORN, Breitbart said the Apollo Alliance and of course SEIU.

Basically, the message Hannah and Breitbart brought was one we conservatives should have been doing all along — using the tactics of the left.

Giles asked everyone in the room to copy down the words of Saul Alinsky, who is considered the father of community organizing — and is a great hero of the left.

"All life is warfare," she quoted him as saying, "and it’s the constant fight against the status quo that revitalizes society."

Does it get any better than that? I don’t think so. I love it when hot women talk like that.

Hillary Clinton Supporters Thank George W. Bush

November 13, 2009 · Filed Under Politics · 1 Comment

george bush and laura bush

No, you’re not in the twilight zone and the headline means exactly what it says. The Hillary Democrats over at HillBuzz posted a very nice thank you letter to former President Bush and the former First Lady.

Here’s a sample of what they had to say:

We know absolutely no one in Bush family circles and have never met former President George W. Bush or his wife Laura.

If you have been reading us for any length of time, you know that we used to make fun of “Dubya” nearly every day…parroting the same comedic bits we heard in our Democrat circles, where Bush is still, to this day, lampooned as a chimp, a bumbling idiot, and a poor, clumsy public speaker.

Oh, how we RAILED against Bush in 2000…and how we RAILED against the surge in support Bush received post-9/11 when he went to Ground Zero and stood there with his bullhorn in the ruins on that hideous day.

We were convinced that ANYONE who was president would have done what Bush did, and would have set that right tone of leadership in the wake of that disaster.  President Gore, President Perot, President Nader, you name it.  ANYONE, we assumed, would have filled that role perfectly.

Well, we told you before how much the current president, Dr. Utopia, made us realize just how wrong we were about Bush.  We shudder to think what Dr. Utopia would have done post-9/11.  He would have not gone there with a bullhorn and struck that right tone.  More likely than not, he would have been his usual fey, apologetic self and waxed professorially about how evil America is and how justified Muslims are for attacking us, with a sidebar on how good the attacks were because they would humble us.

Honestly, we don’t think President Gore would have been much better that day.  The world needed George W. Bush, his bullhorn, and his indominable spirit that day…and we will forever be grateful to this man for that.

As we will always be grateful for what George and Laura Bush did this week, with no media attention, when they very quietly went to Ft. Hood and met personally with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack.

FOR HOURS.

The Bushes went and met privately with these families for HOURS, hugging them, holding them, comforting them.

If there are any of you out there with any connection at all to the Bushes, we implore you to give them our thanks…

Click over to HillBuzz to read the rest. I think it shows a lot of courage and independence on their part to do something like this. Many of us have always known what a kind and decent man President Bush is and it’s nice to see folks on the other side of the aisle recognize that as well.
